 search\, although the global crowdfunding market is still fairly small com
 pared to traditional means of corporate finance (it was valued at approxim

 s in the United Kingdom (which became legal in 2010) already outpace tradi

 here are more than 1.3 million active investors on these sites (as of 2021
 ) with an increasing number of companies using sites like Angelist and WeF
